Moxie Works Studio is a nonprofit arts community centered on creativity, belonging, and collaboration, especially for artists with disabilities.
We believe that everyone deserves a space where they can create freely, connect with others, and feel truly seen and valued. Our work is rooted in the idea that art can bring people together in meaningful ways, opening the door to expression, confidence, and community.
A Seat at the Table is more than a traditional show — it’s an active, evolving space for creativity and connection.
As part of this project, a transformed shipping container installation at Pitch Haus becomes the heart of the exhibit. Inside, an 8-foot table serves as a shared space where art, conversation, and community come together.
Throughout the event, visitors are invited to engage with the work, reflect on themes of belonging, and experience a broader series of creative programming presented in collaboration with local partners.
In addition to collecting artwork, this project creates real opportunities for artists to participate in a supported, inclusive creative environment. Many of the artists involved are part of a growing vision to build an assisted art studio model — inspired by established programs like St. Louis-based studios supporting artists with intellectual disabilities — right here in our community.
