Life And Work With Eli Zemper as Featured in Voyage Michigan

May 29, 2024

Hi Eli, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
In March 2022, after 6 months of converting my garage into a ceramic studio, I launched a mobile clay workshop business called Curiouser Clay. The business model was in response to what I had seen in the previous two years: rampant depression, disconnection, and increasing polarization, where people were only interested in hearing their beliefs mirrored back to them and hanging out with others who shared those beliefs.

The Saint Louis Center Brings Unique Art to the Chelsea District Library

May 13, 2024

Eli Zemper, owner of Curiouser Clay and supporter of local artists, helped out with this display and project, and said the show lasts through the end of May and involves 10 artists from St. Louis Center who have worked on ceramic wind chimes and a storytelling podcast that goes with each chime.

March 13, 2023

We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Eli Zemper. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Eli below.

I don’t know if it is the FIRST dollar I earned as a creative, but it’s the first dollar I earned after I decided to make the jump from being a high school teacher (what I’ve done for the last 26 years) to helping people address their mental health by offering clay workshops.
